RWE Future Award

In autumn 2009, RWE will be giving the RWE Future Award for the first time. To be made in future every two years, the award honours scientific work by graduates from engineering science and technical courses of study. For this first edition, we have chosen as the subject one of the most important questions of our time:

What will be the features of key technologies for the supply of energy in the future?

The award is to be made in two categories:

• Category A: final papers written as part of undergraduate, bachelor and Masters courses of study - 1st prize: €8,000, 2nd prize: €4,000, 3rd prize: €3,000
• Category B: dissertations presented as part of a doctorate in engineering sciences or natural sciences as well as related doctoral subjects - 1st prize: €20,000
