2010 UNESCO-L'Oréal International Fellowships for Young Women in Life Sciences

The UK National Commission for UNESCO is pleased to announce the call for applications for the 2010 UNESCO-L'Oréal International Fellowships for Young Women in Life Sciences.

The international Fellowships are awarded to 15 young women researchers in the life sciences at doctoral or postdoctoral level, whose promising projects have been accepted by a reputable institution outside their home country. The Fellowships, worth up to $40,000 for a period of up to two years, are awarded to three Fellows from each of the following five regions: Africa; Arab States; Asia & the Pacific; Europe & North America; and Latin America & the Caribbean.

UK citizens who wish to apply for the 2010 International Fellowships to undertake research abroad must send their applications by post to the UK National Commission for UNESCO by 1 June 2009.

Non-UK citizens who wish to apply must send their application to the UNESCO National Commission in their home country. For a list of the 192 National Commissions around the world, visit UNESCO’s website at: http://www.unesco.org/
